6th Room Stays Free

Book 5 rooms at for travel between 1st September 2015 - 21st December 2017 and receive the 6th room for free.

You may require additional items such as extra wine, a larger wedding cake, and extra flowers.  Extra costs will be obtained for you and will be payable in resort by you.  If you are staying at an all-inclusive resort, guests not staying at the same resort will need to purchase a day pass (where available) to attend the ceremony.  Certain numbers, gender and age restrictions may apply.  Several hotels provide their own group offers.  These offers can only be organised at the time of booking your wedding and cannot be added on at a later date.  If any passengers cancel at a later date and the number of adults drops below the required number, this offer will no longer be applicable.  Complimentary room is subject to availability and may be withdrawn without notice and is limited to a maximum of 3 free rooms per group booking.  The free 6th room will be given on the lowest room category on the lowest number of nights booked. 6th room free not available with the Sandals 2 for 1 special offer.

Documents Required

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT AUTHORITIES IN JAMAICA REQUIRE ‘CERTIFIED’ DOCUMENTS

• Valid original 10-year UK/Irish passport, which expires more than 6 months after the date of your return to the UK.
• Certified copy of your birth certificate, showing your parents' names

If Required

• If you have been divorced, certified copy of your decree absolute.
• If you have been widowed, certified copy of your partner's death certificate.
• If you have changed your name, certified copy of the deed poll proof of name change will be required. Please note that if you have been divorced and have reverted
• to using your maiden name then this counts as a change of name, and proof of that change will be required.
• If you were adopted, certified copy of your adoption certificate.

Before you travel:

Guests marrying in Jamaica will need to send the certified documents listed to us at least 12 weeks before the date of travel.  Remember the courier fee that needs to be added so we can send the documents to Jamaica.  You must take the original of all your documents with you.

Certified Documents

This is a photocopy of an original document which is stamped and signed in red or blue ink by a solicitor as proof that it is a true copy.  The solicitors stamp must include the word ‘solicitor’ on it.

ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU WHEN YOU TRAVEL.

Translation of documents

All legal documents must be in English or legally translated into English. All translated documents must be from a legal translator with letterhead, stamp and seal from the translator's office or notarised by a Notary Public.  Occasionally the documentation will have to be sent to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for their approval before being sent back to the notary to sign.

The Wedding Ceremony

In most destinations, your wedding ceremony will be conducted Monday to Friday (excluding local holidays).  In some destinations, local festivals and holidays will determine available wedding dates.  Generally, your wedding will take place in the grounds of the hotel unless otherwise specified.  Many hotels offer wedding gazebos for extra privacy.  Some hotels may offer more than one wedding per day with the first wedding taking place at around 10am with the last wedding at 4pm.  The majority of our weddings are conducted by a marriage officer whose title varies depending on the resort.  Where it is possible to be married by a Minister, the ceremony will be non-denominational unless otherwise stated and will be a Civil wedding.

Tropical Sky Weddings and the information given above only apply to couples:

•        Born in the UK

•        Have a valid UK passport (with some months validity on return home)

If couples do not fulfil these requirements they must advise us.  Couples should be referred to the embassy of the country of origin and the country where they wish to marry as they may require extra documentation to satisfy their own embassy requirements – Tropical Sky cannot advise on this and couples must investigate this on their own.

As Tropical Sky weddings have no jurisdiction over hotels/resorts/venues/legal requirements and their charges, we cannot be responsible for any increases or changes to these wedding arrangements.  We will, however, endeavour to advise you of changes as soon as we are made aware of them.  All prices and legal requirements correct as of June 2013.
