Day 1
Arrive in Quito
Upon arrival in Quito, transfer to your hotel and check in. Depending upon your arrival time you might have some free time to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site before meeting your tour guide and the rest of your group for a welcome meeting.

Day 2
Quito – Galapagos Islands
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the island of Baltra in the Galapagos Islands. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Santa Cruz a nearby island by ferry. Your first stop is the highlands of Santa Cruz which are home to the iconic giant Galapagos tortoises and learn about these fascinating animals. Visit a private ranch for lunch before heading out on a walk in search of more giant tortoises and visit the lava tubes which were formed when the surface of a lava stream solidifies but the liquid magma inside continued to flow, leaving behind a series of empty tubes you can walk through. Transfer to your hotel for the next two nights and meet your local guide for an insight for the next few days of adventure. Enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 3
Galapagos Islands
After breakfast enjoy a half day tour of Academy Bay where you have the opportunity to swim and snorkel with exotic fish, marine life including those famous sea lions and the blue-footed boobies. Afterwards, climb to a nearby viewpoint for ocean views and if you are lucky you might see a glimpse of white tipped reed shark swimming in the crystal-clear waters below. Walk along the Playa de los Perros where you will find many sea iguanas basking in the sun.

Day 4
Galapagos Islands
Enjoy a morning at leisure, perhaps wander down to the bay to spot brown pelicans, golden rays, marine iguanas, herons, lava gulls, sea lions and a large number of blue-footed boobies that like to live in this surrounding area. In the afternoon visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn more about the species you have seen in the wild as well as leaning about the ongoing conservation and management efforts on the islands. Transfer to your next hotel by boat to the island of San Cristobal for a relaxing evening at leisure.

Day 5
Galapagos Islands
After breakfast you will be transferred to the dock where you take a quick boat ride to nearby Isla Lobos meaning “Sea Lion Island” for a guided of the island. You have the chance to observe the wildlife that inhabit this island and call it home, such as frigate birds, manta and of course the noisy, smelly sea lions. Walk along, relax or swim at one of the white coral beaches of San Cristobal before heading back to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure at the hotel or explore the relaxed town which overlooks the harbour. An optional walk to interpretation centre, frigate hills and Punta Carola is available. Enjoy the last sunset in the Galapagos.

Day 6
Galapagos Islands – Quito
With your last morning at leisure consider visiting the Natural History Museum, the Cathedral which is painted with murals depicting Galapagos themes or just wander through the town and take it all in. Transfer to San Cristobal for your flight back to Quito and then on to your hotel. Enjoy your last evening at leisure.

Quito
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
