Things to do in Brazil
Watersports
The beaches in Brazil are excellent, but what makes them even more appealing is that they’re great for watersports. Windsurfing, kayaking and sailing are all brilliant on the Brazilian coast, and diving shouldn’t be missed – the exotic marine life here is awe-inspiring.
Football
Brazilians are fanatical about football, so you shouldn’t miss an opportunity to catch a game at the Maracana Stadium in Rio. It’s the largest stadium in the world and the atmosphere is always electric.
Natural attractions
Brazil plays host to a wealth of wildlife, tropical flora and vast natural wonders. The mesmerising Iguazu Falls border Argentina and are a sight to behold. Surrounding them you’ll find luscious tropical rainforests that shouldn’t be missed. Head further north and you’ll be met with The Amazon. This expansive phenomenon houses iguanas, anteaters, anacondas and jaguars, to name just a few.
Festivals
Brazil really knows how to host a party, if the breath-taking Carnaval is anything to go by. This colourful parade is one of the biggest and most famous in the world, where the thud of samba beats fills the air amidst a blur of colourful costumes and floats. There are calmer carnivals and festivals throughout the year in Brazil too, which are just as fun and worthwhile experiences.
