Useful facts for your holiday to Phuket
Flight and Transfers
Direct flights from London to Phuket International Airport take approximately 13 hours. If you have booked your transfers with us you’ll be met on arrival by a Tropical Sky representative who will help you find your transfer vehicle.
Visa Requirements
A visa is not required for stays of up to 30 days. Six months valid passport is required and you must have a return or onward ticket unless a tourist visa is obtained prior to arrival. All visitors are required to prove evidence of sufficient funds during their stay. All travellers should check full entry requirements prior to travel by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy.
Language
Thai is the official language, but Phuket caters to tourists so most people will have at least decent English skills.
Transportation
Taxis are tuk-tuks are available across the island. However, the captive market and lack of practical alternatives mean that they are very expensive by Thai standards.
Currency
The Thai baht is the official currency.
Electricity
220V, two or three (grounded) flat or round prongs.
