Day 1

Bangkok

Arrive in the lively city of Bangkok and take the rest of the day to explore the city and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 2

Bangkok

Vibrant Bangkok offers a sensory experience like few other cities, with neoclassical houses sitting alongside towering skyscrapers and grand golden temples. The day's sightseeing includes Wat Pho, a wander through Chinatown and a visit to the magnificent Grand Palace. Later, hop on a longboat along the Chao Phraya River for a unique view of the city.

Day 3

Kanchanaburi

Delight your senses with the sights and sounds of the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the unique Railway Track Market before heading to Kanchanaburi. Kanchanaburi was the site where many Allied POWs and forced Asian labourers built the Thai-Burma Railway during the Japanese occupation in WWII. Visit the bridge over the River Kwai, learning about their stories in the Thai-Burmese Railway Museum, then pay your respects at the War Cemetery.

Day 4

Explore Kanchanaburi

Travel to Hellfire Pass, exploring the intriguing museum before walking through the pass. Then, ride along some of the Death Railway on a historic locomotive,  passing through the Kwai Gorge. In the afternoon, return to Bangkok.

Day 5

Ayutthaya

A sacred city and once a royal capital, Ayutthaya is now a ruined kingdom that still holds traces of its former self. Discover this remarkable archaeological site through key sites such as Bang Pa-In, the former royal summer residence. Return to Bangkok before flying to Thailand's northern highlands and the city of Chiang Rai.

Day 6

Golden Triangle

Today, you will visit the Golden Triangle, an area where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet, once notorious for opium cultivation. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River, crossing into Laos to visit Don Sao Island and explore the local market. Return to Chiang Rai, spending the evening in the night market.

Day 7

Mae Salong Mountain

Journey to Mae Salong Mountain, renowned for its tea plantations, where you can sample the local brew. Enjoy a Yunnanese lunch prior to exploring Doi Tung Palace and Mae Fah Luang Garden.

Day 8

Hmong Hilltribe Lodge

Before your departure from Chiang Rai, visit the impressive Buddhist White Temple. As you travel towards Chiang Mai, admire stunning mountain views, and arrive at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, an eco-lodge run by Hmong villagers. The rooms, designed in traditional tribal style, offer views of lush fields and hills. After dinner, enjoy a captivating Hmong folklore performance.

Day 9

Mae Rim & Mae Daeng

In the morning, visit the Thai Elephant Care Centre in Mae Rim, nestled in the scenic Mesa Valley. The centre provides a restful retirement for elephants rescued from illegal logging camps and elephant shows. After a lunch stop, journey to Mae Daeng for a relaxing bamboo rafting experience on the river, sitting back and enjoying the stunning scenery.

Day 10

Wiang Kum Kam

Today, you will visit the intriguing archaeological site of Wiang Kum Kam, a 'lost city' just outside Chiang Mai. King Mangrai initially chose it as his capital (Chiang Rai) before river floods led him to establish Chiang Mai in 1296. After, explore two of Chiang Mai’s temples, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh, before enjoying some free time in the city.

Day 11

Chiang Mai

Learn the secrets of Thai cooking with a cookery class. Then, visit Wat Doi Suthep, a temple located atop Doi Suthep Mountain. In the evening, enjoy a Thai Kantoke dinner accompanied by a range of cultural performances.

Day 12
