Day 1 (Sunday)
Mumbai
Arriving in Mumbai you’ll transfer to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel where you’ll go over the details of your trip and complete registration. You may need to stay an extra night depending on your flight time arrival.
From here you’ll head to the Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station where you’ll catch the Maharajas Express where you’ll be introduced to the luxury of the facilities on board. After dinner you’ll retire to your room, and the train will continue overnight to the Ajanta-Ellora Caves.

Day 2
Udaipur
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before arriving into Udaipur. Here you’ll leave the train and continue onwards to the City Palace and Crystal Gallery. At lunch you’ll dine at Satkar Hall of Fateh Prakash Palace. Afterwards you can either choose to return to the train for leisure time or choose an optional shopping tour of the city. Back on board the train you’ll have dinner and then the train departs for Jodhpur.

Day 3
Jodhpur
Today you’ll have breakfast on board and then will arrive into Jodhpur with some time to relax. Have lunch before heading out on a guided visit to the Mehrangarh Fort.
You’ll then have the choice of either taking a visit to the Clock Tower Market or opting to enjoy spa services at a top quality hotel. Enjoy a lovely dinner at Hanwant Mahal before returning to the train, which will depart overnight for Bikaner.

Day 4
Bikaner
Have breakfast on the train before arriving in Bikaner. With plenty of time to relax you’ll then enjoy lunch on the train before departing to explore this breathtaking city. You’ll see Junagarh Fort and Gajner Palace on your journey – a chance to take in wonders not often seen on trips to India. Later you’ll visit the Sam Sand Dunes for a barbeque dinner and sundowner cocktails. You’ll then return to the train which will depart for Jaipur.

Day 5
Jaipur
Enjoy breakfast before you arrive in Jaipur. This is the capital of the state of Rajasthan, meaning its history is draped in the memory of the maharajas – very fitting for your journey. Leave the train and head to the City Palace for a champagne lunch, follwed by a visit to the Amber Fort before returning to the train. Have dinner and then the train will depart on the track to Sawai Madhopur.

Day 6
Ranthambore/Fatehpur Sikri
Early in the morning you’ll reach Ranthambore National Park where you’ll depart for a game safari – this is a real treat where you’ll get the chance to see some of India’s most incredible animals including the majestic tiger, leopard, sloth, wild boar and nilgai.
After the safari you’ll have breakfast at Vivanta by Taj before returning to the train. It will the depart bound for Fatehpur Sikri, and you’ll have lunch on board. On arrival you’ll get off and explore this jaw-dropping former Mughal capital and learn about its history. Head back to the train for ‘Indian Evening’ and dinner on board as you head off, bound for Agra.

Day 7
Agra/Delhi
Today you’ll arrive early in Agra and take a sightseeing tour of the Taj Mahal. One of India’s most famous landmarks, the Taj Mahal is also one of the world’s most awe-inspiring sights and should not be missed. After the tour enjoy a champagne breakfast at the rooftop restaurant of Taj Khema.
You’ll then return to the train and it will leave for Delhi. After lunch on board you will arrive and disembark the train. This is where your train journey ends. You’ll then head to the airport for your flight home.
