Pack light, as you'll need to carry your own luggage. We recommend keeping your bag under 15kg/30lb and avoiding large suitcases. Most travellers use small to medium-sized backpacks or rolling bags. Also, bring a day pack for water, cameras, and electronics.

Internal Flight
Only 1 piece of luggage that weighs up to 15kgs will be permitted on our internal flights in India. For any extra weight the airline may charge an additional fee at the time of check-in.

Travelling by Train
Traveling by train in India is an adventure, offering unique views of the countryside and a chance to connect with locals. While trains aren’t the most modern, AC Chair cars provide comfort for day journeys. Food is available through vendors or attendants, and though cleanliness varies, the AC class is generally decent. Indian trains are safe, though theft can occur, so securing your bags is recommended. Trains can be delayed, so bring entertainment.

Travelling by Road
Indian roads can be chaotic, with drivers ignoring traffic rules, speeding, and using horns frequently. While road infrastructure is improving, many roads remain in poor condition. Travel times are longer than in the West, but you'll have a private air-conditioned vehicle for comfort, with occasional rides in local transport for an authentic experience.
