Overview
The five-star Le Méridien Lav has long been one of Split’s most impressive and most upmarket hotels. With a prime waterfront location, plush rooms and lovely sea views, a marina and private beach, this is a great place to stay for couples and families.
As you’d expect of a five-star hotel, the level of service is very good. Facilities at the hotel’s Diocletian Spa include a Finnish sauna, three Roman baths with heating lounges, and nine treatment rooms. There’s also a kids’ club, kids’ swimming pool and playground.
Le Méridien Lav’s, bedrooms are light and spacious with balconies, most of them overlooking the marina, with a view towards the island of Brac. The rooms are stylish, contemporary décor, with soft, warm tones, and framed black and white photos on the walls.
The Méridien Lav has four restaurants, as well as several cafés and bars. Spalatum is the main buffet restaurant, with a more contemporary interior. In the evening, the 7 Palms restaurant specialises in grills – both seafood and steaks – while at lunchtime it offers a lighter menu (salads, burgers, pasta). Conlemani, down by the marina, specialises in Italian cuisine. There’s also a stylish champagne bar, a lounge bar, and the Art Café which houses temporary exhibitions by local artists.
