Guana Island
Overview
Guana Island Resort almost feels as if you’ve stepped into a dream, where luscious, forest-clad hills make their way down to small silky sand beaches and clear, azure waters. Accessible by only boat or helicopter with strict guest access only, Guana is the most private and exclusive of all the British Virgin Islands’ resorts, offering a wonderfully detached feel from the rest of the world. We particularly recommend this resort for nature lovers, with numerous hiking trails and spectacular wildlife opportunities all across the island.
There’s a total of eighteen charming, beautifully-appointed cottages which are scattered along a picturesque, sea-view ridge, and are well-spaced apart for a heightened sense of privacy. Meanwhile, the resort also features four decadent villa properties, each appointed with a private infinity-edge pool and heightened selection of exclusive amenities. We think that couples would love the romantic Sea View Pool Cottage or North Beach Villa, whilst the Anegada Villa is a great choice for families and friends.
Dining at Guana Island is a treat for all the senses, serving a mouth-watering blend of local Caribbean fare and international cuisine. The bountiful selection of ingredients and flavours from the island’s three-acre organic orchard, farm and surrounding waters is presented in both of the resort’s wonderful restaurants.
A beachfront spa, ambient bar and seven beaches are just a few of the areas in which you can relax and unwind. Alternatively, if you feel like exploring more of the islands’ spectacular scenery, there are twenty incredibly scenic hiking trails that you could take, where you could spot local wildlife including flamingos, donkeys, tortoises and giant iguanas. You could even take a tour of the resorts huge organic orchard to taste some of the delicious fruits, and visit the delightful on-site farm.
