Day 1
On arrival in Kilimanjaro,you will be met at the airport and transported to your overnight hotel Arusha about an hours drive away (50km). Check in and relax for the remainder of the day. No meals are included this evening.

Day 2
You will have a very relaxed start to your safari adventure with breakfast and the morning at leisure to help you get into the time zone.
After lunch, your safari starts with a drive to Tarangire National Park. The journey is around three hours, 150km. Your journey will take you through the countryside to start to immerse yourself in the local culture. Check in and enjoy the views from your canvas accomodations veranda towards through the bush toward Lake Burunge, before enjoying your evening meal.

Day 3
An early start today with a game drive in the Tarangire Park straight after breakfast. Often overlooked, this is a super game viewing area brimming with wildlife and a much quieter experience than some of the main game viewing areas. You will be able to explore the park looking for Lions and possibly the elusive Leopards which seeing the impressive herds of Zebra and Giraffe towering above the bushes.
Return to your lodge for lunch before departing to Ngorongoro. This journey is around two and a half hours,125km and takes in some stunning views as you skirt around the Lake Manyara National Park.
Check in and have the rest of the day at leisure before enjoying dinner.

Day 4
A very early start today as you will drive to the crater rim and descend into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to 30,000 animals. This makes it one of the most unique and densely populated wildlife areas in the world. You will be able to see the resident lions and the huge bull elephants that dominate this landscape amongst many other species.
To make the most of your day, you will take a pic-nic lunch with you that you will have on the craters floor in a nice spot by one of the lakes.
As the sun starts to set, you will make your way back up to the top of the crater and back to your lodge for your evening meal and reflect on the wonderful sites you have seen.

Day 5
After breakfast, it is time to head to Arusha or Kilimanjaro, around a three hours drive, 175km, for your return home or more likely, onward journey for the remainder of your trip.
We highly recommend adding one of our Zanzibar hotels to the end of this safari making a very relaxing beach stay at the end of a busy safari.
