Overview

During this tour you will have the chance to enjoy a fantastic two-day safari in Tsavo East National Park, with a one-night stay at the Ngutuni Safari Lodge which now has a wonderful pool and is great for older kids. Where you opt to go for your safari is down to you, with departures from Papillon taking place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Built in a classic Swahili style and set amongst exotic gardens where the Colobus monkeys thrive, Papillon Lagoon Reef is an authentic base for your stay.

Please note that guests are required to check out of their room at Papillon whilst on safari. However, luggage can be stored at the hotel. (RK)

**Ngutuni Safari takes place on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday - the day of safari will be re-confirmed upon arrival.**

Papillon Lagoon Reef is closed each year between May-June for annual maintenance.

Day 1

You will be met upon arrival in Mombasa and transferred to the Papillon Lagoon Reef where you can check-in and unwind, making use of the facilities within the resort.

 

Days 2-3

On these days you will have the chance to relax on the beach and make the most of the facilities at Papillon Lagoon Reef, on an all-inclusive basis.

 

Day 4

Today, after an early breakfast you will be collected from Papillon Lagoon Reef and driven to Ngutuni Lodge which is located in a 10,000 acre private game sanctuary. After a relaxing lunch you will set out on your first game drive. Nguntuni Game Sanctuary is home to huge herds of elephant and buffalo as well as lion, giraffe, zebra. You will return to the lodge in time for dinner. Throughout the evening you will hopefully get to see more elephant gathering around the water hole in front on the lodge.

 

Day 5

Enjoy an early morning game drive today to see the wildlife at their most active. Following breakfast, you will transfer back to Papillon Lagoon Reef where you will continue your all-inclusive stay for the remainder of your holiday.

 

Days 6-7

These days can be spent relaxing on the beach or going for a swim, making the most of the facilities at Papillon Lagoon Reef, on an all-inclusive basis.

 

Day 8

Today you will transfer back to Mombasa for your flight to the UK.
